Note about “explaining away feelings.”

It is not the non-religious who “explain away their feelings” they have about (or “from”) God and spirituality–rather it is the religious who “explain away” their feelings, declaring that they are something more than simply feelings. I feel no need to “explain away” the feelings I’ve had in my religious childhood because I see them only as what I can know them to be: feelings.
